Terms of service
Effective 10 October 2026 · Weisheme B.V.
These terms cover your use of Showboat: the app at showboat.show (and the preview host sketch.showboat.show), its MCP server, and this website, showboat.dev. By creating an account or using Showboat you agree to them.
They are written to be read. Where something is not decided yet, they say so.
Who you are dealing with
Showboat is offered by Weisheme B.V., a company in the Netherlands (KVK 92469442). "We" and "us" mean that company. "You" means the person using Showboat and, when you use it for a company, that company.
Questions about these terms: support@showboat.show.
What Showboat is
Showboat stores and shows what your team and its coding agents push to it: walkthroughs of your own deployed work, design mockups, comparison screens and release notes. People you invite can view them and comment.
Showboat is for businesses and people acting for one. You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live.
We keep improving Showboat, so features change. We may add, change or remove a feature. If we remove something you rely on, we will say so in advance where we reasonably can.
Your account and your Workspace
Your account is yours alone. Keep your sign-in and any keys Showboat gives you (such as ingest keys) to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has them.
A Workspace belongs to the company that created it. Its Owners decide who is invited and what they can see, and they are responsible for what people and agents do in it.
When you connect a coding agent to Showboat, it acts with your access. What it does there counts as done by you.
Your content
What you and your agents put into Showboat stays yours. You give us permission to store it, process it and show it to the people your Workspace allows, only to run the service for you.
You must have the right to upload what you upload. Screenshots of your own product often show real data: make sure you are allowed to share what is in them with the people who will see them.
Showboat keeps a complete history. Removing or archiving something hides it; it is not erased automatically. To have content erased, email us and we will handle it by hand.
How we handle personal data is in the privacy policy at showboat.dev/privacy.
What you may not do
- Break the law, or upload content that is illegal or that you have no right to share.
- Try to get into another Workspace, or get around the limits on who may see what.
- Attack, overload or probe the service, or use it to send spam or malware.
- Resell Showboat or offer it to others as your own service, unless we agreed to that in writing.
If a Workspace does any of this, we may suspend it. Unless it is urgent, we will tell its Owners first and give them a chance to fix it.
The free trial
Every new Workspace starts with a free trial of 14 days. It includes every feature, and we do not ask for a payment card to start it.
There is one trial per Workspace. It starts when the Workspace is created, and it does not start again when someone joins later. A Workspace that already existed on the day paid seats began gets its trial from that day instead.
Price and payment
After the trial, Showboat is paid per Member. Each Member of a Workspace, its Owners included, needs a paid seat. Guests, the people you invite to a single Project, are free, and so are your coding agents.
The price per seat, and the choice between paying monthly or yearly, is shown at checkout. Prices exclude taxes; any tax that applies is added at checkout.
The Workspace is the customer. An Owner can pay, or can send a payment link to someone else at your company, who does not need a Showboat account. Payment is handled by Stripe on its own pages: we never see or store your card details.
- An Owner decides how many paid seats the Workspace has. It cannot be fewer than its current Members.
- Adding a seat is charged right away, for the part of the period that is left.
- When a Member leaves, their seat stays paid until the period ends and can be given to someone else. There is no refund for it.
- Lowering the number of seats takes effect at the next renewal.
Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, monthly or yearly, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time; it then runs to the end of the period you paid for and does not renew. We do not refund the unused part of a period, unless the law gives you that right.
The seat price you start on stays your price for as long as your subscription runs without a break. The seat covers what Showboat does without running AI on its own servers. If we ever offer something that does, it will be a separate add-on with its own price, and never switched on unless you choose it.
If a Workspace is not paid for
If a renewal payment fails, nothing changes for 14 days while it is retried and the person who pays is asked to fix it.
If the trial ends without payment, or a payment is still failing after that time, the Workspace becomes read-only. Nothing is deleted. Everyone can still sign in, view and comment, your Guests included, and you can still invite Guests, remove people and revoke keys.
Until an Owner arranges payment, a read-only Workspace cannot take anything new: pushing a walkthrough, a mockup, a comparison or a release note is refused, and so are publishing a release note, inviting a Member, creating a Project or a Team, and creating an ingest key. Release notes you already published stay up. Paying restores everything at once.
Availability and support
We work to keep Showboat running and your content safe, but we do not promise it will always be available or free of errors. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.
Support is by email at support@showboat.show and through the form at showboat.show/support. We answer as soon as we can; there is no guaranteed response time.
What stays ours
Showboat itself (the software, the design and the name) stays ours. These terms let you use it; they do not transfer it.
If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.
Liability
Showboat is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect loss such as lost profit, lost data or lost business.
Our total liability to you for anything connected to Showboat is limited to what you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim, or 100 euros if that is more.
Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit, such as for intent or gross negligence.
Ending
You can stop using Showboat at any time. To have your account or your Workspace closed, email us.
We may end or suspend your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. If we ever stop offering Showboat, we will give Owners at least 30 days' notice and a way to get their content out.
Changes to these terms
When we change these terms we update this page and its effective date. If a change matters to you in practice, we email Workspace Owners before it takes effect.
If you keep using Showboat after a change takes effect, you accept it.
Law and disputes
Dutch law applies to these terms. Disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands, unless the law gives you the right to go to another court.
Talk to us first: most things are solved with one email to support@showboat.show. For a complaint about personal data you can also go to the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
