Set up Showboat with Playwright
Your end-to-end tests already open the app in Playwright. Showboat turns their screenshots into a narrated walkthrough your team reviews, and your coding agent sets it up with one prompt.
1. Set Showboat up
Paste this into your coding agent, in the repository whose end-to-end suite runs Playwright:
Set up Showboat for me. Fetch https://showboat.show/install.md and follow it.It connects Showboat and mints the push key, which it stores only as the secret SHOWBOAT_INGEST_KEY: never in the chat, never in your code.
2. Reuse your end-to-end screenshots
When it asks which feature to show, name one your Playwright tests already cover. Your agent reuses the suite's screenshots if it can capture the feature's key states there, instead of writing a new script.
3. One key and a few words per screen
Each screen gets a stable shotKey, the same on every capture, and your agent's own narration: a headline and a few lines on what the screen shows.
4. Push it as a Take
It pushes the screenshots as a Take, a narrated walkthrough, and gives you the link to share with your team.
5. Fix something small
Circle something small on the walkthrough, right on the screen. Then tell your agent:
Pull the open comments on my Show and fix them.It reads the open Comments, fixes what they point at, runs the capture again and pushes a new Take. No deploy in between.
6. On every deploy, if you want
Your agent can add a step after each successful deploy that captures the features the deploy changed, each to its own walkthrough, the same one every time. It only does that if you ask, and it never makes your deploy wait or fail.
